How do I use the index?
At the very top of every unit there is a link marked 'Index'. Click on this to go to the index page.
The index contains a list of important words, sorted into alphabetical order. You can jump to words starting with a particular letter by clicking on the desired letter in the list at the top of the page.
Underneath each word is a list of all the units in which that word is mentioned. When you have decided which unit you want to use, just click on the unit's name to open it.
How do I mark a question?
To mark (or grade) a question after you have answered it, just press the small green equals button which appears just below the question. Your answer will be automatically marked with a tick or a cross.
Now use your mouse to position the cursor over the tick or cross. A comment related to your answer will pop up. The comments give constructive advice when a question was incorrectly answered, or congratulations when the question is answered correctly.
It is all part of the interactive learning process if students experiment several times before finding the correct answer.
How do I open Crocodile simulations?
When viewing Absorb Courseware in your browser, all Crocodile simulations will open in a separate window. To run the simulation, simply click on the relevant image in the unit. It will open in a new window in which you can interact with the simulation.
How do I edit files?
If you wish to edit Absorb Courseware files, you can do so using your preferred web-page editor. However, please understand that copyright laws prevent the distribution of edited files, without a disclaimer stating that amendments have been made.
